Four systems are included within the scope of the procurement:
Following a patient’s examination, the system will provide images for review by a clinical radiologist, radiographer or sonographer, who will then produce a report for clinicians to guide diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
The systems will integrate with each other and other NHS Wales applications to ensure that information is easily transferred and updated, so patients can be monitored through their diagnosis, treatment and recovery pathways.
Moving to a new platform means we can review our current labour-intensive paper based processes with a view to improving future process. We will be involving colleagues across Wales, where possible, to inform how we move forward with the programme.
