Programme

LINC started in December 2017 and is run by the NHS Wales Health Collaborative in partnership with the NHS Wales Informatics Service and is funded by NHS Wales health boards and trusts and Welsh Government.

LINC is designed and run in accordance with the required Government standard for programme management, Managing Successful Programmes.

LINC is led by Adrian Thomas, Executive Director of Therapies and Health Sciences, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, and Senior Responsible Owner for the programme.  He is supported by Judith Bates, Programme Director for LINC.

Adrian chairs the LINC Programme Board whose members represent each health board or trust running pathology services and representatives of key pathology professional and managerial groups.

LINC has set up a design authority to assure that all the requirements, design, testing and the new LIMS service are fit for purpose and clinically safe.
