For colleagues working across Wales, the Network’s SharePoint holds a wealth of information pertaining to our workstreams, clinical guidelines, training and education and reports and publications.
The Wales Maternity and Neonatal Network has a formal governance and accountability structure as set out in the diagram below.
Mechanisms are in place to ensure the regular reporting to Welsh Government and health board chief executives on the impact of the network on the delivery and outcome of neonatal services across the region.
As a network we are committed to working in partnership with women and their families to deliver, develop and improve neonatal services across our region.
It is our intention to ensure the parent voice is embedded within our governance structure, with representation from our neonatal parent advisory group and maternity service liaison committees/Maternity Voices Partnership at network meetings and on service reviews. In addition they will be invited to scrutinise and feedback on regional guidance, workplans and policies.
Under the remit of the NHS Wales Health Collaborative, the Network has a full complement of clinical and non-clinical staff supporting the delivery of our work programme.
